Embraced in handmade corn tortillas and tastefully garnished in smooth ribbons of cream and Mexican cheeses, the Playa Mesa Enchiladas Suizas did not disappoint! It didn't hurt either, that I could fill up on freshly fried chips and lively fresh salsa while I waited, with baited breath. Si, Senior, quiero mas! ????????
Such a cute spot. We happen to be in the area for an appointment and we stumbled on this Mexican restaurant! And the high ratings this place gets on google is well deserved! From the ambiance, to the service down to the food - excellent We ordered the ceviche for appetizer and we both ordered the same thing - the two taco combo - carne asada taco and short rib taco! The food is exceptional - down to their delicious chips and salsa! We LOVED the Spanish rice and beans that come with the 2 Taco combo also! And if you are curious as to which of the two tacos were better for me, I would have to say the carne asada taco takes the win.
Came to brunch Saturday morning and fell in love with this place! Scarlett was our waitress and she is the absolute best. We felt very welcomed by her as if we have been friends for life. Her vibe is out of this world! I had the chilaquiles with carne asada and they were so decadent. Definitely gave me the homemade feels. To drink, I had the Jamaica margarita and the Pasión del Patrón drink. Pasión was so cool and refreshing. I will definitely be back.
This place was awesome. Great atmosphere great food. My husband had the carnitas nachos, and I had the enchiladas suiza con pollo. The carnitas was superb. The chicken in the enchiladas was moist and we'll seasoned with a light tangy sauce. Beans and rice were also above par. Definitely on the favorites list.
Best Guacamole I've ever had. The food was amazing. Nice places, loved the patio. Amazing list of tequila and great draft beers. Our server Juan Gabriel was great, his complete descriptions of the food helped us make fantastic choices.. we'll be back soon
This is an incredible place to enjoy great Mexican Food. Celia our server was extremely attentive. We enjoy our visit. Thank you Mike (manager) you made us feel like home. I highly recommend to visit this gem and enjoy a hand crafted margarita or perhaps a shot of great Mezcal.
I had the Carne Asada plate and it was great; I also had tamarindo, Jamaica and watermelon margaritas and were delicious.
This has been the best birthday party I have ever had. The service from Scarlett was amazing and she was so attentive to our table. I would recommend to everyone I know! Best customer attention, best food, and amazing care to our large party. If you are having a large part at Playa Mesa- ask for Scarlett- she will bring the best times with her!
I can confidently say that this is some of the best food I’ve had in California, and a great spot to put on your bucket-list Staff- amazing, really on top of it, and super friendly Atmosphere- Instagram worthy Food- I HIGHLY recommend the ceviche and the squash Overall - 9/10
Spent Mother’s Day brunch at this delicious restaurant. Loved the chilaquiles, and my daughter enjoyed her pancakes. Definitely recommend.
